Engineering and Program Management Division

The division director will report directly to the Chief Engineer. The division is responsible for the development of engineering and program and project management policy, communicating policy and processes to the engineering and program/project community through the Engineering Management Board, Program Management Board (PMB), and the Program Management Council (PMC), all audit functions including compliance audits, Office of Safety and Mission Assurance coordination including Safety and Mission Success Review (SMSR) activities, and establishing a support system to ensure greater project success through better engineering and project management. The director will lead the coordination and development of program and project management requirement and guideline documents such as NPR 7120.5 (NASA Program and Project Management Processes and Requirements), NPR 7123.1 (Systems Engineering Processes and Requirements), and NPD 7120.4 (Program/Project Management). He will coordinate with the Agency PMC by developing and maintaining efficient and useful reporting practices and techniques and lead the Program Management Working Group and assign studies and tasks as requested.
