Advanced Planning and Analysis Division

This division director will report directly to the Chief Engineer. The division is responsible for developing engineering policy of the future, including development of engineering standards and coordination with other U.S. Government agencies and industry regarding standards. The director is responsible for advanced planning and analysis activities, and for highlighting future/emerging policy issues affecting the Office of the Chief Engineer. The director will work closely with the Program Analysis and Evaluation (PA&E) Office to align engineering initiatives with the future direction of the Agency. The director will lead the coordination and development of engineering requirements and guideline documents such as NPR 7120.6 (Lessons Learned Processes), NPD 8070.6B (Engineering Standards) and NPR 8010.2D (Metrics). He will chair the Inventions and Contributions Board in the absence of the Chief Engineer and use technologies identified in the Space Act Awards program to further advance engineering efforts in the Agency.
